King City, CA  – Mee Memorial Hospital will be celebrating their third annual Week of Wellness (WOW) to promote healthy living and choices in Southern Monterey County. The hospital and clinics have scheduled a whole week of healthy activities, informational lectures and visiting vendors.  This is the second annual WOW and will run from March 27th – April 1st, ending with a 5K Color Fun Run & Walk and a raffle.

“Wellness is a way of life and healthy choices that include exercise, eating well, getting enough sleep and taking time for one’s self.  It is preventative care.  We want the community to look to Mee Memorial as a resource for healthy living and a place people can turn to get the information they need to help promote wellness,” said CEO, Susan Childers.

Week of Wellness will be held around the Mee Memorial Campus, with a complete schedule of events listed on the website and Facebook page.  Registration for the Color Mee 5K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, April 1st begins at 8:30am, with a warm up with Dr. Robert Limone and fun run starting at 9am.  Participants can also pre-register by printing the form at our website or Facebook page.

There will be a walking path around the MMH campus for employees and community members, Q&A sessions with our Registered Dietician and Physical Therapist, informative booths, blood pressure & glucose checks, wellness competitions and a farmers market, to name just a few of the events for the week.
