Mee offers a comprehensive array of high-quality obstetrics services and very personal care to assure you of a positive, comfortable experience. This includes six Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) rooms, beautifully designed and spacious private rooms that allow family members to stay together and share in the overall birthing experience without having to move the laboring mother from room to room – a great alternative to transferring a woman from the labor room to the recovery room and finally into a hospital room to spend time with her baby. Additionally, we are a designated “Baby Friendly” hospital.
We place a strong emphasis on creating a home-like atmosphere for the birthing experience. Every LDRP room has a comfortable recliner (sleeper chair), a rocking chair, and flat-screen tv. Private showers are available in each room to help the new mom relax before, during, and after delivery. The entire family can come and welcome the newborn after birth. In most cases, the baby can stay right with the mother in a special crib beside the mother’s bed. Of course, our staff is always there to assist the new mother and can take the baby to our modern nursery whenever the need arises.
After the birth, the new family will share a private dinner together in the LDRP room. And, all-important coach is given meals while mom is in labor so there’s no need for the coach to go hungry or leave the premises to find food.
Identification bracelets are placed on each mother and baby immediately after birth. To ensure your safety, entrances into and out of the birthing areas are only accessible by authorized personnel. You can rest assured that you and your loved ones are safe and comfortable.
Mee also provides new mothers support with ongoing education, baby care demonstrations, self-care choices, rest and time for the new mother and the rest of the family to get acquainted with their new addition!
The entire experience is as comfortable as possible – with specialists, nurses and equipment traveling to new mothers. Keeping mother and baby together in a personal home-like atmosphere promotes early and frequent skin-to-skin contact and on-demand breastfeeding, and this helps boost a new mother’s confidence in caring for her baby.
As the delivery date draws near, prepared childbirth classes become especially important. These classes are designed to help prepare expectant mothers and their coaches for a positive labor and delivery experience. Breast-feeding a baby can be a wonderful experience that creates a special bond between mother and child, but it can also be a time of adjustment as a new mother embarks upon a new learning experience. We provide information to help make the breastfeeding experience easier and more enjoyable for both mother and baby. Personal one-to-one instruction with our trained nurses is provided during a mother’s hospital stay.
